Buildings at a farm on U.S. Route 6 between Atkinson and Annawan were severely damaged Tuesday evening after tornado warnings and severe storm activity in Bureau and Henry counties.
Our Quad Cities News spoke to the farmers who rode out the storm in a metal building. Parts of other buildings, including a shed, were destroyed.
The roof blew down on an equipment shed, where the owners were not able to assess damage later Tuesday.
A Henry County deputy at the farm said the area looks to be the center of the most severe damage.
A tornado was confirmed on the ground in Atkinson. The National Weather Service will send a team to assess the damage on Wednesday.
